The Inaugural Edition of “BNI Eye” – BNI UAE’s Monthly Newsletter
When Anna & I embarked on a journey 14 years ago when we started BNI in the UAE, little did we know that 15 years later, we would have a community of over 500 thriving,passionate business people generating hundreds of referrals between themselves each week and millions of dirhams of business being done each month. My only goal back then was to launch a couple of chapters so that I could have my own personal network to support me and generate business for me.In the first few years of our journey, it was a like a small family where we all knew each other–I would know every member personally and I had the opportunity to visit chapters very regularly throughout the year.
Fast forward to today and I don’t get to visit chapters as regularly. I still make it a point to visit each chapter at least once a year. I don’t get a chance to attend all the trainings and workshops we conduct–I do still make it a point to attend at least one session each month and I strive to have as many one-to-ones with members as I can regularly.Every time I walk into a chapter meeting, a training session or attend a chapter social there are so many new faces of people I’ve never met before. It’s exciting and at the same time daunting–we’ve grown so big and we continue to add tens of new members literally every week–it’s difficult to keep up.It would not be without our awesome and amazing team-made up of the “DnA”–our Director Consultants and Ambassadors who support the chapters and leadership teams,together with the Training & Facilitator Team that we would be where we are today.
I take this opportunity to thank each and every one of them for the outstanding work and leadership they provide.
