March this month was a month full of activities for BNI UAE showcasing the full spirit of what BNI is all about – not just Business Referrals (which forms the core of the organization) but what makes it the success it is – with our philosophy of Givers Gain at the forefront.
BNI’s Race To Your Success
In the first weekend of the month, we celebrated the 4 Month Race to Your Success with 14 teams from 10 Chapters qualifying to race at the Dubai Kart Drome on 5th March 2022. It was an action-packed exhilarating event with lots of blood pumping with sweeping S-bends, spins, and even a couple of crashes into the tire barriers.
Congratulations to Hass F1 from BNI Warriors for Winning the Race with 50 laps completed!!

BNI ICL (Inter Chapter Cricket League)
Sunday 13th March saw 15 Cricket Teams from 12 Chapters come together in a One Day Cricket Tournament –
This year, all the chapters in the UAE came together after almost 2 years to celebrate sports and a day of fun with members and their families. Not only, it was amazing to see the camaraderie between the members and the teams but also the members who came to cheer for their fellow members. With members from different chapters supporting the event in terms of sound, light, music, food to the actual games, it was a day that all the teams celebrated the relationships that were built with this common interest which was Cricket. With the tension building up in the end, it was The Dragons of BNI Champions and Insane Maniacs of BNI Insomniacs who were in the finals. It was a tough call and the Insane Maniacs came as out as the raging winners in the end.

BNI Leadership Team Transition Training
For the first time, we conducted two sets of Leadership Team Trainings over two weeks where over 250 members got trained in various Leadership Team and Support Team Roles. That means 1 in 3 of our members are in a Leadership Team or Support Role.
If you’re wondering what is the value of Leadership Teams in BNI Chapters, Chapters don’t run themselves. And being on the leadership team of your BNI chapter means more than just taking on extra responsibilities and additional work. It benefits your business, your chapter, and your personal growth.
Business, chapter, and personal growth
- Boost your profile. By being more than just a member, you give both your business and your personal profile a boost. Visitors tend to gravitate towards the people doing most of the talking at meetings and member referrals tend to rise as a result of increased trust in you.
- Bring about change. As a member of the leadership team, you become a driving force in the direction and overall tone of your chapter. If you feel a process isn’t working, your vision is what guides change. And because we all have our own inherent biases, that change will most likely be tailored to best meet your personal and professional needs.
- Gain valuable skills. As a member of the leadership team, your mindset quickly changes from “how is my being here good for my business?” to “how is my being here good for the chapter?” As entrepreneurs (which many—but not all—BNI members are), there are few opportunities to take on a leadership role in your professional life. Conflict resolution skills and management abilities are just two of the many valuable leadership skills to be gained as a member of the leadership team — skills that can be applied beyond your chapter and into your business, your community, and your life in general.
Remember that while the end goal of networking is to get referrals and find new business, you won’t effectively succeed in either if that is your sole mindset. The real goal of networking is to build relationships. By being on your BNI chapter’s leadership team, you are taking great strides towards building those relationships with the other members.
